I'm so grateful they're still supporting xp w/sp3. This vista is totally out of control. Anyhow I don't need to hot swap. I could take the time to power off and remove w/e I want, especially w/this rosewill case that screws in and out like butter.
Multiplier to 16? Or tweak something else? could go slowly. it gives you option of 15 and 1/2. Anyhow like I mentioned even w/the icon in tray the error would pop up so that mom.exe had to go regardless. newegg should have a regular monitor w/vga cable right?
Just realized that's only option 4 now cause need hd optical drives to read videos anyhow and display on hd monitor. Everything's good w/the 200 extended partition and 500gb primary. Mind you right now it's zipping pretty fast w/out the full power user settings. Let's take it from here and finish tweaking w/e could be had. Thnx.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

try a higher multiplier only if you feel daring, right now you are just barely overclocking the cpu but since your mobo won't support the 2.2 mem voltage you are running it underclocked, the power user settings become less important with dual core and more ram, but a bunch of bad apps can bring the most powerful computer to it's kneesComment

I get you. I also have to go into bios and set the voltage to its highest again as I set it to default when I fixed that icon thingy and ran a repair disc. Maybe it's already set to high by default. I'll find out.
Ok I have a ? My graphics card is the radeon hd 2600 xt iceQ turbo. I'm shopping right now for a monitor. Will I be able to use my regular optical drives w/a hd monitor or at least a hd ready monitor that supports my video card? If yes to either then I'd like to get something reasonably priced. If the hd monitors are still a lil on the high side then a hd ready will have to b the way to go 4 now as my budget dictates. If there's not too much difference in price as far as being reasonable then of course hd would b the way to go, unless of course it won't accept the signals from my regular optical drives.
Should the tweaks get done b4 adding the new monitor or it doesn't matter? Everything's looking go so far so if I could avoid any issues pertaining to new hardware and the tweaks then that's the ticket. Thnx.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

here goes. Now as I understand. my mobo doesn't support the 2.2 mem. it only goes to 1.95. so you saying that it's slightly overclocked at 1.95 but not quite or even underclocked if it were 2.2? how could you tell what it would be if it was 2.2? xperience, just plain math? thnx.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

try raising the cpu multiplier to 16 x and see if the memory bus goes back to 400
we could live with cas 5 at 400 with a cpu of 3.2 Ghz
you would need to see if lowers the benchmark time
at 2.2 volts it would run cas 4, but then again that's pushing the memory to it's limit, it would last forever at cas 5 and 1.95voltsComment

Tried raising multiplier to 16x. system wouldn't take it. tried 15.5. it took to it but then after benchmark finished it went into error message and suggested to restart computer and go back to 15x multiplier. Benchmark at 15.5 and 15 took 9mins. 5secs. I only raised the multiplier. No precision tweaking w/support software from mobo and didn't touch cpu frequency. left it at auto which in bios was 200.00.

Ok Chewy I'm ready to pull the trigger on this monitor:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009127
What's this hdcp sh1t? I know what it is but will it prevent me from using my monitor? All it says is that it supports hdcp. Thnx.
btw it's affordable 4 now and at least has dvi support.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,
