XP continuous reboot loops with SP3

After investigation, we’ve determined this problem occurs on AMD-based machines with Windows XP images that were originally captured by an OEM on an Intel-based machine. The problem is a registry value, present on images created w/ Intel processors, that causes a driver (intelppm.sys) to load at boot. When intelppm.sys attempts to load on an AMD-based system upon the install of SP3, it causes a blue screen and the continuous reboot.

haha i havnt read all but by just the quantity it has its look like vista sp1 is a kid infront of sp3

I guess I have been lucky, so far I have had no problems on the computers here that I have updated to sp3. All the computers are AMD based.

Me too. I think if you did the update from windowsupdate, you should have been fine. This issue was identified quite some time back, so they should have fixed it before final release.
