strange battery life.....

bought a used inspiron 700m for my wife... she wanted small thingy and i wanted cheap

well i got this without battery, and i couldnt fine used battery, and cant fiind standard, so had to buy this expensive extended one.

well it gives round 4.5 hrs but today i thought lets see how far it can go, and im typing this with almost 30 mins past battery showing zero.

it lasted exactly 38 mins past the zero battery, then it went standby, and when i make it comout of it, its just went dead.. hmmmm morethen 5 hrs is good, just have to figure out how to make it go hibernate before going dead.

apparently i cant use this extra 38 mins if i use power options.... cause it goes to standby or hibernate when battery is at 3 %. dont know its the laptop problem or xp's.

if i dont use power option system will go 38 mins more but will go dead suddenly which is no good.

for curious ppl its a 12" wide notebook.
