What is the best software for editing video. Everytime I edit video the AVI files come out way to big. For example, a two-minute video of mine was over 800MB's. When I run it through Cyberlink Power Director where I changed the file type to MPEG the size of the file shrunk right down to just over 2MB's. That was much better but another problem comes in. The screen size shrinks down to 352x240 and when I play my videos in my DVD machines the picture quality is horrific. The reason why the file size is much smaller is because each frame of film is a smaller-sized image for each and when it was 720x(whatever the other number is), that used more disc space to make it over 800MB's. Why does this keep on happening? When I sort one problem out another is there. I can't change the screen size settings in the software and it I do it might be over 800MB's. When I edited a twenty-minute video it was even too big to burn on a DVD disc.
Others can do this but why can't I? What is the best software for editing? Windows Movie Maker is useless as well.
