    Help: Umax Scanner Linux O\S

    Hi All
    Trying to get my scanner to work, but xsane says no scanner found!!
    Do i need a driver for this to work ? and where can i get it from ?
    oh its a usb scanner, Umax Astraslim AS6000 AKA Teco VM6509C

    TECO VM6509 seems to be on the "not supported by SANE" list



    Your only hope may be to ask around if anyone got it to work under a window emulator.

    I have a Visioneer that's very similar to a Linux supported model.. but the features needed were missing. Never got it to work. I guess that's what dual-boot to Windows is for
