    I am leaving now for several days, so Ill delete the intel drivers when i return and let you know how things are going
    I already removed viewpoint and wild tangent stuff.

      I'll be glad to walk you thru this but don't make me repeat myself or waste my time,
      this would have been a lot easier when the computer was newer and a lot simpler.

      A word of warning, power user setups are addictive, there's no turning back.

      Dual or quad core and a few gigs of ram are nice also.

        Yep, I agree with Chewy, you need to get the cancer out BEFORE it is fatal.
        Do some homework on computers.

        When you have the time check out this website, it will tell you which start-ups you can safely remove from MSCONFIG. And the three methods of removing start-ups, from the software program itself, from the start-up folder, and from the registry. Great little program and won't become obsolete.
