    Nero burning errors

Hi everyone. This is my fiurst post but I hope my first of many. I have a problem so hopefully, I have come to the right place. The problem I am having is with Nero. On my machine, I have two writers so I can burn to eaither or write from disc to disc. It is a new machine and it had Vista Ultimate.

Each time I try and copy from disc to disc using nero, I get an error message telling me that the burn process has failed. It doesnt matter which way I try and copy, weather it be from disc to disc or using the one burner as both the source and destination, the process still fails. I can used to be able to copy from disc to disc on the fly without any trouble. I have used nero 7 and have just downloaded the demo of nero 9 and I still have the same problem. The media I am using is ritek dvd-r. I have always used these and have never had any problems with them. When I try and copy straight from disc to disc, it will carry out the process as normal but right at the end once it reaches 100%, the process fails. BUT when I just try and use the one dvd drive as both a source and a destination (copying to the hard drive then back to the dvd), the process fails at the reading stage. I got convertxtodvd on my machine and that works fine. I can burn projects to dvd without any problems. I have tested convertxtodvd on both my burners and everything is fine. It is just the nero. Please, please can someone please help me out with this issue. It is doing my head in.

nero's web site is hard to navigate, you need to uninstall all nero programs and run the appropriate clean tools, adding more trials just confuses an already hosed system further

Nero Platinum - 7 programmes en une suite ! ✓ Montage vidéo ✓ Streaming ✓ Sécurité des données ✓ Conversion ✓ Gravure ✓ Radio mondiale ► Plus d'informations

I am still using nero 6 and it's been fine for almost 2 years

Interesting, I'm still using Nero 6 here too.

I know it works reliably here for me and haven't felt the need to upgrade.

        I'm not alone then.

The boss will probably want her version of Nero6 put in the box with her, won't use anything else.

Ummm. Does Nero 6 Now work with Vista as TudorBlue has stated? I thought Vista could only use latter 7 and above. Just Curious.

If still XP Nero 6 was the best, non probelmatic version I have used.

I also understand that Nero 6 does not work with Vista. You need version 7 or higher, as a friend found out when he got a new computer with vista.
I still use Nero 6, but ive got XP.
