I started to notice, several days ago on another site that I am on. That various items on the web pages were missing items like the avatar, reply buttons, ect. I have now noticed that it is now happening here. Last nigth I did a deep virus scans and malware and did not detect any problems. So I am guessing it is a browser problem. I am using IE-7.
How about the case of the disappearing Avatar

I am a member of a music forum & that happens about once a month. I assume it must be some sort of site maintenance. The only thing that is missing in my case is the avatar.
I stopped using my custom one & just went with one of the stock ones on the site & the problem seems to have cleared up. -
The hard drive that I use is backed up on another hard drive. The hard drive is only in use for back ups.Last edited by doctorhardware; 6 Dec 2008, 12:27 PM.Star Baby Girl, Born March,1997 Died June 30th 2007 6:35 PM.Comment

I am a member of a private forum that uses some custom web software
After upgrading to SP3 a plugin for spybot(sdhelper) totally refused to let me load the forum pages at all
Firefox works fine, IE6 works great with spybot plugin disabled
Some forums just can't load all the graphics, others have flood control and just won't let you inComment

I have narrowed down the problem to a problem with IE. On a whim I installed another hard drive in the latop and now the web pages are loading properly. Nothing is missing on the pages now. So I am in the process reformatting the hard drive and will reload the image back onto the hard drive.Star Baby Girl, Born March,1997 Died June 30th 2007 6:35 PM.Comment
