    Windows Live Messenger

I used Windows Live Messenger ages ago, I added a photo and I only had one contact in there at the time. I got rid of the software because it was slowing my PC down a bit. I re-installed it the other day and my photo was already there before I signed in and my contact was still there as I thought she would be. I signed in and everything was fine. I also added another contact and everything was fine. When I installed Windows Live Messenger into another PC in a different household, my photo wasn't there and when I signed in, I was able to sign in but my contacts are not there but they show in my Windows Live Messenger in my PC only. I thought Microsoft's database would save our contacts at their end like Yahoo does so that we can keep in touch with people anywhere on any PC. How come I can only use my Messenger account on my PC only? This means if at any time I need to format my PC over anything, I'll have to enter all my contacts back in again.

    Many thanks.

Many thanks for the info. Things started working a few hours later. I guess Microsoft had a slight problem and they were sorting it out as I asked my question. Many thanks again.
