Gigabit Wired Router Recommendations?

i have hooked a netgear gigabit switch between netgear router and my machines as it was the less expensive way to go 1000mbit

model is Netgear GS605v2

I updated the NIC drivers on both machines. Now things make sense. I ran HDTune benchmarks and when I initiate the copies from the Vista64 side using the shell, the transfer speeds are in line with what the HDs can dish up.
