    Clean up drives

    Afternoon all
Just loaded "windirstat" from Max PC CD.It shows a whole block of wav.files in a file called "recycler". are these leftovers from a game I got rid of.
I also have a number of files(mostly pictures) that have moved /copied. Is there a program that helps find duplacate files and help get rid of them.

Haven't used any of those dupe finders myself, but this is a good general purpose site for good utilities, esp if you are running XP.

    Our categories Our latest magazine articles Our product recommendations Our latest articles Our partner websites outdoors-magazine.com thestyleblogger.com practicalmommy.com wonder-pets.net textspace.net campsintuits.com djgblogger.com everythingandroid.org tourism.de kinglalibela.com awesomebabyblogs.com alternativefamilies.org rustybones.net philosophos.net hermann.ai techsupportalert.com creativity-innovation.eu reviews-and-tests.com luckypets.de games-guides.com wildexplained.com yourmotorguide.com simpletrampoline.com seedsandspades.com

When you look in the category, if there is one for dupe finders, also check the "hot finds" section. User feedback sometimes puts you onto some excellent freeware.

If you have Vista and try to bring your music files (including wav) together it will prompt you if you want to merge. Then you get rid of duplicates easily that way.

      Works for pics too.

@gonwk yeah, very few dud programs. Often I check there first if it's a type of app I think will be in one of their categories. Plus often you can get a link to the "last free version" before a good utility went commercial.
