badaboom + cuda
friends system has 8600 GT in his pc and installed badaboom. to fresh windows 7 install no codecs what so ever. to my surprise badaboom open mkv files now the profiles it has are very limited in terms of customizing, no option to do that. and i cant find any profile that will do mpeg2.
now i cant compare it to any other conversion tool for time and quality but what i found sample 720p mkv of 2 mins done in 2.24 secs to mp4, but whats great was cpu remains at 25 to 30 %, in that time i installed programs, played mp3's, browse download files and the outcome was free of any problems.
mp4 video was still same resolution but small file size. excellent quality.
