    Converting .m2ts files

I borrowed my sisters video camera for a holiday
(Canon hard drive HD camera) and she copied the video to some discs and it does not work on my DVD player nor will it play on my computer , it opens the disc and shows files with a .m2ts extension , what can i do to convert these and burn the discs again so I can watch my video on a DVD player.

It sounds like the disks were not finalized.

Originally , I plugged the camera into my comp. but it never really did anything other than open up the files and show me what was on the camera , but I could not open them to view , so I just gave it to her to make me a copy but maybe I should just get it back and do it myself , with possibly some help from the pro's here . How would I go about importing the video to my computer ?
