Hi Chewy,

When I went to download GMER form the above website ... when I choose to download the .EXE version of the Program ... each time the .EXE file name changed ... 3 times and 3 different name ... I thouhgt my eyes were seeing things.

Q1: Is this Normal?

Q2: Should I use the Zip version?

Q3: Should I also run the CatchMe.exe?

@ ABuilder ... I am a Genius ... that is why I miss the Simple right in your face Things!

Did you ever find a way to get rid of those entries in the register. GMER finds them, but if your go to its Registry tab, they are highlighted in red but can't be deleted. Of course, Regedit doesn't see them at all (that is why they are classed as rootkits).

I haven't tried safe mode - maybe that works. Or just leave well enough alone?
