    New PC ??

Hi all you nice experts !! Am thinking of getting a new PC ready built. Seen some interesting examples on Ebay auctions and would like your opinion of the specs, as follows.
    AMD Phenom 64 quadcore 9950 ,10.4 ghz.
    8 gb ddr2.
    500 gb HD.
    Nvidea G force 8200TL.
    1 GB directx10 graphics
    Res 2560x1600 inc 1080p blueray.
    450 watt PSU.
    Asrock K10N78 mobo.
    7 chan audio.
    10USB slots

NO OS,keyboard, mouse, monitor (dont need em anyway)
    All NEW 12month warranty,
    Average auction price £290.00 ($420.oo) ???

Also available Intel quad core same price...

an AMD 9950 x4 is outdated - i'd rather go for a new phenom II 810, which has the same core frequency but less power consumption or go for something like a 945/955 which is really fast

moreover i consider a nvidia 8200 a rather poor performer in almost any way

i'd rather look for something like an ATI 4670 or the new 4770 for midrange purposes

last aspect is the amount of ram: 8gb only makes sense with a 64bit operating system
if you go for a 32bit OS your windows will not be able to handle more than 3.3x gb so stick to a maximum of 4gb but 8 gb will not help you in any way despite the fact that ram is dirt cheap these days.

Thank you. Thats exactly why I asked here, am sure you all know more about current parts than I do...Will look at other options from same supplier and check back here before buying......What 'sounds' good is not always so !!!!! Cheers.
