I'm pleased to say the old Send To SendTo trick still works in Windows7. For those who haven't set this up, it puts an entry in the Send to right click menu named Send To SendTo. If you right click on a program shortcut, and select this command, then that shortcut will be in the Send to menu. You must right click on a shortcut for it to work, not on an .exe file directly.
The only new wrinkle setting this up in Windows 7 is they make it tough to open the Send to menu in explorer. Instead open the Windows Search and type shell:sendto and press Enter. It should open the SendTo folder.
Here's the trick. Go up one level in explorer, then right click the SendTo folder and click Copy. Now double-click the SendTo folder to open in. Right click on a blank spot inside the folder and click Paste shortcut. After you paste the shortcut, press F2 to rename it. Change the name to "Send To SendTo" without the quotes.
Now you can right click a shortcut to any program, go to the Send to menu, and select Send To SendTo, and that program will be in your Send to menu.
It reads complicated but if you go step by step it's actually very easy. All it does is copy the shortcut to the program you want in the Send to menu to the SendTo folder, without having to open the folder and drag & drop the shortcut. Once you set it up, it's very convenient to use.
