    802.11n Wi-Fi standard becomes final - finally !

    IEEE chairman Bob Heile late Monday signaled that the 802.11n standard for Wi-Fi was likely to be finalized by September
    Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

      what left to see how many routers and cards/usbs are left as draft N with no firmware support.
      Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

        That definitely took a while, didn't it?

        802.11g hasn't been quick enough for a long time now (especially when it comes to streaming video, HD video in particular), and hopefully this will now mean every wireless devices will use 802.11n instead.

          There will be a lot of firmware updates to be done. It will be nice when printers use 802.11n.
