Laptop Screen issue

Hi All,

Looking at a cheap laptop advertised as spares or repairs looks like all hardware intact and can sort out any software issues no prob. Its being sold as faulty due the screen having lines running across see picture (best i could get im afraid. Do you think this is an lcd prob of video card issue any idea thoughts greatly received.

You can possibly test the video card theory, by connecting an external monitor to the laptop. If it is on the monitor it is the video card and if it is not then it is the LCD panel that is bad.

My thoughts to about the LCD panel as this is a ebay item i'll have to wait to see if the seller has connected to an external monitor or will be willing to if not. May give a miss if he can't confirm the problem exists on an external monitor.

The problem is that it is a 50/50 chance on being the video chip problem or the LCD panel. Or still on the system board could be a video memory issue also.
