    How to start in the Safe Mode and reasons to.

    Somewhere, I have read almost every day it seem a thread about starting in the Safe Mode and reasons to.

    Now that I need the thread to send to a co-worker I cannot find it at all.

    The thread was titled How to start in the Safe Mode and reasons to.

    I unstuck it quite some time ago, there are newer infections that will only allow you to boot into normal mode, if you use msconfig to alter the boot.ini file with the safeboot key then you are stuck and cannot boot into any mode.

      Chewy, was this a sticky that was above the postings by other members. Was this sticky made by you?
      I thought that the one that I remembered was a sticky by you. Am I correct?

      Thank you for the link above as this is most informative, and is great to know, that the procedure has changed.

      I did searches for your name and Blutach and couldn't find nothing at all.

      I thought for sure I had lost my mind!!!!! OMG!

      But now I know why I couldn't find anything. LOL!

        When Smkymtgirl wrote it I locked and stuck it, when i unstuck, it dropped into oblivion since 2006 was long ago.

        I searched for safe mode in general computing and a lot of views

          Thanks Chewy for your help. And especiallly for the new information and procedure you listed.

          I have always used that one on my own Computer, but it didn't want to work on the work computers.
