Alright, so currently I'm using Windows 7 Professional.
It is the final build, not the RC... it's been on MSDNAA for a while, and I was able to get a copy through my school. (Or through ACM, I should say)
I'm looking for a couple types of programs. One is like a calendar/organizer, something that could be a replacement for a paper planner. I was told that Mozilla Thunderbird had something like that, but I can't find it anywhere. It does make a good email program though.
I'm also looking for something that can record lectures and possibly turn them into text documents. Like the reverse of Microsoft Sam. I know Microsoft OneNote can record audio, but I haven't tested its abilities out yet.
Preferably these programs would also work on Linux, as I have my laptop dual-booting with Ubuntu. I need to figure out how to do symlinks, so my mail will show up on both OSes, etc.
