I downloaded the XP Optimizer and it seems to make a big difference on the way my PC loads and the internet is a little faster. No trojans found with MalwareBytes. Seems ok stuff there.
    You raise the blade,
    You make the change,
You rearange me till I'm sane.
You lock the door, throw away
    the key,
    There's someone in my head
    and it's not me.

Many thanks for your help. I wanted to check because as we all know, there's loads of dodgey sites that have software that can backfire on us and cause PC problems.

        are these trustworthy.

I have downloaded and installed. It certainly speeds things up all round, how, I dont know. I also got back the Windows default sounds, which have been absent for years !! Only drawback I found is it got rid of all my logon names and passwords, but got all back now, also taskbar seems to go where it pleases now... No bugs found yet either
