    Uninstalling AVG From Vista

I'm trying to sort out a PC that is run on Windows Vista. AVG is in it and I need to uninstall it. When I go in Control Panel and then the bit Add & Remove Programs (and I know it's called different in Vista but I forgot the name of it because I hardly touch Vista), AVG isn't listed. When I go to All Programs to uninstall it there, I see the Uninstall option and when I click on it, I get a message with the options Allow and Cancel. When I click on Allow it only launches AVG and it never uninstalls it. Is there another way with a removal tool?

I thought of using System Restore but I can't remember what F key to keep on tapping to do it under Safe Mode.

    Can anyone help, please?

    Many thanks.

The F key is F8 to get into safe mode. You might have to manually remove the program by doing registry editing. Removing the avg keys manually.

I'd try their removal tool before manually getting into the registry.
If that doesn't get it all, then use CCleaner registry clean and "fix all selected issues"

I forgot that most people do not like doing registry editing.
