    Hi everyone!

Please suggest a free video converter for windows 7. I have a collection of DVD that I want to convert to AVI to preserve my dvd.

    thanks a lot!

Super, MediaCoder, Handbrake (latest version does NOT support avi, older do)

Another good one, esp. if you have a lot of older "letterbox" DVD (not 16x9 but 4x3 with the black bars on top and bottom so it looks 16x9) is AutoGK. It will auto crop to "16 by 9 ify" your video. Gives good results in one pass if you set the quality up around 92%.

He'd wait until you forgot about him doing it. Then he'd say, "Hey dude!" and you'd say "What?" and he'd say "Nuthin'".

I guess it's inexpensive at least.
