    compression

i have a lot of seasons and was hoping to write them on a dvd .the problem is they are about 6 to 7 GB (each).i tried compressing them using winrar and kgb but they only made a difference in MBs. is there a way to compress the 6 GB folder to fit on a dvd disc without losing too much quality??
    will really appreciate the help

Your video is most likely already compressed, so using a compression tool like WinRAR won't help, as the only method would be to decrease quality by compressing the video even more. What format are the files in at the moment? VOB, ISO, MKV, MP4, AVI?

If each season is 6 or 7 GB each, then why not just use a dual layer DVD, which can store up to 7.2 GB per disc. It will save you the effort of having to re-encode everything (which can take hours), and losing a lot of quality if you intend to convert a 7 GB video file to around 4 GB.

can u name any good compression software that can do the job (better than winrar at least ) .its okay if i lose a little quality.
also i heard that its possible to compress a 10 GB iso file to just MBs..can i convert the folder into an iso file and then compress it..
