Hi, I'm trying to get my old Sony Handycam (DCR-HC20E) videos onto my computer running Windows 7. I remember a while ago having to download Sony PMB to make it work. However, since then my hard drive broke and I'm trying to go through the process again, only this time it doesn't seem to work. Sony does not provide drivers for handycams now. What it does say on its website is that Windows 7 users should download PMB if they want to transfer video to a computer. OK. So I go to download PMB. I run the set up manager and it tells me that I need to have my camera connected to the computer. Of course this can't be done in a way which is recognised by the computer as I don't have a driver! So it seems to me that Sony are telling Windows 7 users "sorry, we don't have any drivers for you, but if you want to transfer video then please download PMB ... but just make sure your camera is connected and you have the driver installed". Can anyone help? Please!
