I do the video work for our church, which mostly consists of recording the services for posting online. Right now we have a pair of Canon camcorders - one is mounted as a wide angle view, the other is on a tripod for closeups. The audio is feed directly from the sound board to the wide view camera. I have two sets of SD cards, so at the end of each service, I just swap the cards, and later edit the two ables together.
We are looking to upgrade a bit in the next few months. The cameras are fine, but we are wanting to start recording directly to the computer so at the end of the service, we would have our final video. I know that we would have to have some sort of video switcher, either a physical one or a computer program. What I'm not sure of is the recording part.
Any suggestions on what we might use, that won't break the bank?
