imgburn has a tab for samsung drives and nero will bitsett also

one or the other may have told your drive to do it and it's remembering the command, nero tells you as soon as it starts

stick a blank +R in that samsung drive and fire up ImgBurn V2 and go to the booktype setting and chose samsung and dvd+r, you might have to set it every time with imgburn or at least after reboots

It does bitsetting with DVD+R when having at least TS09 firmware.

                Have you seen this post?

You may have to do this each time you reboot. It doesn't stay permanant like my LG. I have to use special software to auto bitset on bootup.

Are you reading the second set of information in ImgBurn after burning the DVD? The first one will still show DVD+R, but scroll down and the second one should show DVD-ROM. With my 552 (although yours is a B, and mine is L, difference in computer manufacturers) I have tried the bitsetting in ImgBurn and receive success, but it still also changes the booktype whether or not I use the drive settings option, because I have tried several disc using the option and also not using the option, and either way it changes the booktype.

so you have to reset the booktype to dvd-rom every time the pc is rebooted?is there a way for it to remember the setting?.
