ImgBurn and Double Layer DVDs

One more thing blutach...

After the Verify freezes in ImgBurn, I am pulling the disk out, putting it in another drive and running Nero ScanDisc, as recommended.
I'm getting 0 errors and all green boxes. Is it safe to say that it's a good burn regardless what happened in ImgBurn?

No - the verify is a bit for bit comparison.

There are reported instances of verify failing due to users' somewhat strange idea of having AnyDVD running while verifying. As we know, AnyDVD acts in a manner to change some things on a DVD and this actually causes verify to fail.

However, if you do not have AnyDVD activated and verify fails, then it is definitely not a good burn.

Nope, I don't have AnyDVD running (that I know of)...
I bought some Verbatims this afternoon, so I'll try it with them and see if it verifies.

Have you watched the non-verified disc and tried to rerip it?

You should see a good difference in quality with the Verbatims...happy burning.

Verbatim: There Is No Substitute. They work flawlessly. Now Decrypter ISO to ImgBurn is perfect. Thanks for the recommendations.

The non-verified discs would play, but when I tried to make copies in Shrink, it would freeze at the end. Now I can backup my backups or shrink my backups since I have a good burn.

Did you try to rerip your burnt disc with DVD Decrypter?
