you haven't explained why? I am not convinced you need to and the next step of firmware that might work might also ruin your drive.

The link that chewy provided shows compatible formats with the xbox and some DVD+RW will play.

All of this talk about trying to Bitset, have you even tried to put a DVD+RW into the xbox to see if it works? Read down the list and find a DVD+RW that will play and give that a go!

i know for a fact that Xboxs don't play DVD+RWs. Can we go back to bitsetting.

There's no point!

There isn't a firmware available for your drive that supports it.

Chewy is saying crossflashing is too risky and you'll probably turn your drive into an expensive doorstop.

If it's really that important to you, buy an external drive that supports it.

Here is a thought, maybe try to use DVD-R discs that way you wont have to worry about cross flashing or changing any settings.

I personally dont bother with any of that I just use DVD-R discs.

Setting to DVD-ROM will give the best compatability among all standalone players. I use nothing but +Rs and set to DVD-ROM

Hey guys! does anyone here use IMGTools Burn. I'm not talking about IMGBurn, it auto bitsets to DVD-R, I only use DVD+R media !!!!!! I have not flashed or changed anything.......

You can't bitset to -R.
