        you burn the new DL with the old nec then you burn a crappy single layer with the new benq it may work the other way around

            Dvd Shrink doesn't burn but if you are talking about Nero.

                  orignally it wouldnt burn the verbatim's all 3 failed

                      and dma is enabled on both sets of hard drives and both dvd drives hardrives are umda mode 5, dvd drivers are udma mode 2

                              If the firmware is current and it won't even burn Verbatims, the drive has probably had it.

                              You can get some odd return codes if the filter drivers don't behave themselves but I wouldn't expect a 'write error' to be one of them.

                                i have tried several different options including nero again..dvdfab platinum...pcgedit and not one single good disk...i am down to 3 of the original packs i bought and my patience is running out!!! here is that filter log you requested
