Using Imgburn to burn muliple discs onto 1 DVD?

Has there been a tutorial on this? I'm having trouble finding it but it seems logical that I should be able to save more than one disc onto the hard drive and then burn them onto a single dvd. Can this be done? For instance let's say I have a 2 sided DVD and I want to copy and burn it ont a single dual layer disc or just compress both sides and put them on a single layer disc. Is it possible?
