    Possible burner problem?

    Hello all,
On this log where it says Power Calibration Area Error, is this a sign that my burner is on it's way out? I've been starting to have problems with this burner like the tray not opening and Nero CD DVD Speed freezing up. Thanks.

What type of interface is the drive. If it is ide try a different ide cable.

It's a sata drive. I real think it's the burner because, I hook-up my other burner which is the exact same model with the same cable and Nero CD-DVD Speed does not freeze up.

I had a couple of bad IDE cables cause problems like that. I have not seen any SATA cable problem like that but that does not mean that it can't happen. More than likely it is the drive. Are you having any other problems with the computer.
