Blow to Telstra's NRL deal

Australia recently revamped their copyright law to more closely resembles the US laws. Here is one of the first fallouts. It may ruin their National Rugby League by causing them to lose their TV deal.

Not sure if this has a lot to do with the new digital copyright laws or not. The article actually says that Fox Sports and News Digital Media won based on fair use (fair use for news purposes, even though the footage was licensed), which is what the US DMCA legislation lacks provisions for.

I've also changed the title of the thread to match the title of the linked news article.
