Sony brings PlayStation 3 at Rs 39,990 (to India)

Sony has launched the PS3 in India at a price of 39,990 Rupees (that's $US 980). Does this make the Indian PS3 the most expensive PS3 in the world?

That is a ridiculous price tag!!

I have read that Katuragi has retired too. Could this be a sign of Sony heading down the wrong path??

And remembering that the US/Japan PS3 is actually more expensive to produce due to the emulation hardware, whereas all the other regions have emulation done in software instead to save cost (but somehow end up being more expensive).
