Japan's Fujitsu group said it will end production of plasma televisions, a technology which it was the first in the world to introduce commercially, due to lack of profitability.
Note that they are not pulling out of plasma to concentrate on LCD - they are pulling out of making TVs altogether, and concentrating on heating and ventilation equipments.
With Panasonic and Pioneer pretty much owning the plasma market, I can see why Fujitsu has pulled out. Nothing on the market today can compete with Pioneer's panels on picture quality, not even Samsung/Sony's LCDs TVs (they both use the same Samsung panels).
