    Top 20:

It's the pre Easter sales bump, and shoppers went big for 4K, with 4K market share up to being almost a third. As per usual with this time of the year, new releases are far and few in between - it's more sales of older titles that are driving sales.

In terms of new releases, the highest-selling one was the 4K SteelBook release of Tombstone, in second place (on both the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart, as well as the 4K only chart). It was then all the way down to 20th for the next new release, the 4K release of Sneakers.

There was one more new release on the 4K only chart, the 4K release of Career Opportunities in 20th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: All the new releases were on 4K. 9 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

The complete Blu-ray top 10 chart is below (new releases in bold, Blu-ray exclusives are denoted by *, UHD releases denoted by +):
    1. Sonic the Hedgehog 3+
    2. *Tombstone+
    3. Godzilla Minus One+
    4. The Terminator+
    5. Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League+
    6. Gladiator II+
    7. Blazing Saddles+
    8. Mufasa: The Lion King+
    9. Legend
    10. Flight Risk+
The complete 4K top 10 chart is below (new releases in bold, 4K exclusives are denoted by *):
    1. Sonic the Hedgehog 3
    2. *Tombstone
    3. Godzilla Minus One
    4. The Terminator
    5. Gladiator II
    6. Blazing Saddles
    7. Blade Runner: The Final Cut
    8. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
    9. 2001: A Space Odyssey
    10. Inglourious Basterds
Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray Sales Share:

The BD sales share is the percentage of disc packages sold for that contained the titles's Blu-ray edition (including combos, and Ultra HD editions) for a particular title. So a BD sales share of 60% indicates that 60% of disc packages sold for this particular film contained the Blu-ray edition for this film, and so anything over 50% means that the Blu-ray version of the film was more popular than the DVD version.

All three previously mentioned new releases were 4K only releases, so there's nothing to report in terms of BD or 4K sales share.

      Top 20:

Post Easter, Blu-ray and 4K sales share remains high, but the difference is that we now get some new releases. Quite a lot of them, in fact.

Including the Criterion edition of Oscar winner Anora on 4K and Blu-ray - it was the top-selling title on the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart, and second on the 4K only chart.

The Blu-ray only release of Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii was second.

Dirty Harry gets a 4K release, including a 4K SteelBook edition, and it was third (top of the 4K only chart).

The Outlaw Josey Wales gets a similar treatment for 4K/4K SteelBook, and it was 5th (4th on the 4K chart), and Pale Rider also gets the same treatment, and was 6th (5th on the 4K chart).

Paddington in Peru was 7th (no 4K edition).

Timecop gets a 4K release and was 9th (7th on the 4K chart). Star Trek: Section 31 gets a 4K, 4K SteelBook and DVD release - it was 10th (8th on the 4K chart).

A Full Metal Jacket 4K SteelBook release has it finishing in 15th place.

Some more new releases in the 4K only chart.

The 4K SteelBook release of Stripes and Gandhi was 13th and 17th, respectively.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: "Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii" and "Paddington in Peru" didn't have 4K editions, every other title did. 8 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Still very much in post Easter mode, with 4K market share down slightly, but largely unchanged.

With the new "Lilo & Stitch" in cinemas, Disney has decided to re-release the original animated version on 4K - Lilo & Stitch was the top seller on the combined 4K and Blu-ray chart, as well as the 4K only chart.

The 4K release of What Lies Beneath was 13th (7th on the 4K chart).

There is just one more new release on the 4K only chart. The Criterion 4K release of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg was 18th.

            Top 20:

4K and Blu-ray market share dropped slightly as the new releases dried up a little this week.

The top-selling new release was actually the 4K release of A Knight's Tale - it was second on both the combined 4K and Blu-ray chart, as well as the 4K only chart.

A couple of Friday the 13th movies get 4K releases this week, including Jason Goes to Hell in 5th (3rd on the 4K chart) and Jason X in 6th (4th on the 4K chart).

Presence gets a 4K and Blu-ray release via Decal, and it was 9th (7th on the 4K chart).

BBC gives us another "Doctor Who" release in the form of the Blu-ray only release Doctor Who: The Savages, in 10th.

Law Abiding Citizen gets an Amazon exclusive 4K SteelBook release and it was 14th (9th on the 4K chart).

              Top 20:

4K sales share dropped back quite a bit, as the quality of new releases was a bit more subdued this week, with many not even available on 4K.

The top-selling new release was Yellowstone: Season 5, Part 2 - no 4K edition was made available. It still topped the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart.

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie was another Blu-ray and DVD release, and it was third.

The 4K limited edition SteelBook release of Kingdom of Heaven was 4th (second on the 4K chart).

Outlander: The Complete Seventh Season was another Blu-ray/DVD release, and it was 6th.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers got a standalone 4K SteelBook release, and it was 12th (6th on the 4K chart).

Wayne’s World 2 is another one that's new on 4K, and it was 14th (7th on the 4K chart).

The Three Musketeers/The Four Musketeers 2-movie boxset arrives as a Criterion release in both 4K and Blu-ray only editions, and it was 15th (10th on the 4K chart).

Another one with a new 4K release, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow was 16th (8th on the 4K chart).

And finally, on the combined chart, the 4K only The Prosecutor was 19th (12th on the 4K chart).

There was one more new release on the 4K only chart, the 4K release of Scene of a Woman in 11th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: "Yellowstone: Season 5, Part 2", "The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie", "Outlander: The Complete Seventh Season", and "The Colors Within" all didn't have 4K releases. 5 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

The complete Blu-ray top 10 chart is below (new releases in bold, Blu-ray exclusives are denoted by *, UHD releases denoted by +):
              1. Yellowstone: Season 5, Part 2

"The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie" had the best BD sales share with 69.53%.

"Outlander: The Complete Seventh Season" was the next best, with 38.33%. "Yellowstone: Season 5, Part 2" got 23%.

Only the "The Three Musketeers/The Four Musketeers" Criterion box-set was available on both 4K and Blu-ray, but it didn't appear to sell enough copies on 4K to get into the 4K sales share top 20.

                  Top 20:

4K sales share recovered from last week's lows thanks to an abundance of new releases, even if most can't be considered A-list releases on their own.

The top-selling new release, and the week's overall top-seller, was A Working Man. It was second on the 4K chart.

The 4K release of the Sean Connery 007 Collection was second (top of the 4K chart).

Dan Da Dan: Season 1 was released on Blu-ray only, and it was 4th.

The thriller Drop was 7th (9th on the 4K chart), ahead of In the Lost Lands (wasn't available on 4K).

The 4K limited-edition release of Swordfish was 11th (5th on the 4K chart), just ahead of the 4K SteelBook release of The Return of the Living Dead in 12th (6th on the 4K chart).

Dexter: Original Sin - Season 1 was released as a standard Blu-ray, in a SteelBook Blu-ray, and on DVD (no 4K release), and it was 14th.

Over on the 4K only chart, there were a few more new releases.

The 4K release of Lord of Illusions was 10th. In 11th was the Amazon Exclusive 4K SteelBook release of The Dead Zone.

11 Rebels didn't sell enough copies to get into the combined top 20, but it was on the 4K chart at 14th.

The Wiz arrives on two Criterion releases, on Blu-ray and 4K, and it was 15th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: "Dan Da Dan: Season 1", "In the Lost Lands", and "Dexter: Original Sin - Season 1" didn't have 4K editions. 5 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Of the new releases this week that had separate 4K/Blu-ray and DVD releases, "11 Rebels" actually had the best BD sales share with 50.55%. "In the Lost Lands" got 46.53%.

"Dexter: Original Sin — Season 1" had a BD sales share of 45.02%.

                    Top 20:

Blu-ray and 4K market share remained largely unchanged this week, despite not having many new releases.

The 50th anniversary edition of Jaws on 4K and 4K SteelBook was the top-selling new release, and the week's overall top seller on both the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart, as well as the 4K only chart.

The Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Vol. 1 was released on Blu-ray only, and it was 3rd.

The 4K SteelBook release of the Jurassic Park Trilogy was 4th (second on the 4K chart).

The only new release in the combined top 20 was the 4K release of Sabrina in 13th (it was 6th on the 4K chart).

Over on the 4K chart, there were placements for one more new release - the 4K release of DeepStar Six was 9th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: Only "Looney Tunes Collector’s Vault Vol. 1" didn't have a 4K edition. 6 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

All of this week's previously mentioned new releases were released on single formats (either Blu-ray only, or 4K only), and so there's nothing to report in terms of sales share.

                      Top 20:

4K sales share made a recovery this week, thanks to the release of a big movie: A Minecraft Movie. It outsold everything else for the week - including the second-placed The Monkey by a 3-to-1 margin. "A Minecraft Movie" was also top of the 4K only chart ("The Monkey" was 7th).

2025's much-maligned remake of Snow White (trailer) was third on the combined chart (9th on the 4K chart).

The action classic Lethal Weapon arrives on 4K and was 4th (2nd on the 4K chart).

Novocaine (trailer) arrives on 4K and DVD, without a standalone Blu-ray only edition (although there is an Amazon exclusive 4K SteelBook edition too) and it was 5th (3rd on the 4K chart).

Arrow's re-release of Dark City on 4K and Blu-ray was 6th (4th on the 4K chart). Criterion also gives Sorcerer the 4K and Blu-ray re-release treatment - it was 8th (6th on the 4K chart).

The 4K SteelBook release of Longlegs (trailer) was 10th (8th on the 4K chart). There was also a SteelBook release for Sonic Prime: The Complete Series, but on Blu-ray only, and it was 13th.

Doctor Who: Season One was 16th (it wasn't available on 4K), and finally, the 25th anniversary 4K re-release of Bring It On was 18th (14th on the 4K chart).

Two more new releases were in the 4K only chart top 20. The 4K release of Road Trip was 16th, while High Society being released on 4K and Blu-ray as part of the Warner Archive Collection, was 17th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: "Sonic Prime - The Complete Series" and "Doctor Who: Season One" were the two titles without 4K releases. Every single title out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions!

It was actually "Doctor Who: Season One" that had the best BD sales share, with 69.84%.

"The Monkey" was the next best out of the new releases, with 59.06%, just ahead of "Novocaine" with 57.57%.

                      The week's top-seller "A Minecraft Movie" got 54.86%. "Snow White" didn't get over 50%, with 48.50%.

For the titles that have separate 4K and Blu-ray releases, "Sorcerer" got a high 4K sales share of 88.92%, while "Novocaine" also did well with 57.57%.

"The Monkey" got 24.16%, while "A Minecraft Movie" made do with a respectable 21.43%.

"Snow White" got 12.60%. The other releases with 4K sales share didn't get enough 4K sales to get into the 4K sales share top 20.

                        UHD: 17.7%

                        Top 20:

Both 4K and Blu-ray market share dropped back - both because of a smaller slate of new releases and also because this week included the 4th of July holiday.

The best-selling new release was Warfare, which was second on the combined 4K and Blu-ray list, and top of the 4K sales chart. No DVD edition was made available for this title.

Then it was all the way down to 13th for the next new release, the Criterion 4K and Blu-ray releases of The Big Heat (it was 9th on the 4K chart).

Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut on 4K was the last of the new releases, in 20th (13th on the 4K chart).

And that was it for new releases.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: All three of this week's new releases had 4K editions. Every single title out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions!

                          Top 20:

It's Prime Day week, where DVD, Blu-ray and 4K discs go on sale en masse. It's why the likes of "Nosferatu", "The Thing", "The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy", "Blade Runner 2049", "Akira" and "Oppenheimer" are back in the top 20.

This doesn't mean there weren't new releases, though.

The quite amazing Sinners was the week's top-seller (on both the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart, as well as the 4K only chart), easily outselling everything else this week. Grave of the Fireflies gets a standard Blu-ray and SteelBook release, and it was second (no 4K edition was made available, unfortunately).

The Amateur was released on 4K and Blu-ray (no DVD release), and it was 3rd (didn't rank in the 4K top 20).

Completing the top four was Fallout: Season One (second on the 4K chart).

The 4K release of Clueless was 8th (3rd on the 4K chart) - it was made available as a normal 4K release, as well as an Amazon exclusive SteelBook release.

The Criterion 4K release of Barry Lyndon was 9th (5th on the 4K chart).

And finally, the Blu-ray + CD box set of Jethro Tull: Still Living in the Past was 14th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: "Grave of the Fireflies" and the "Jethro Tull: Still Living in the Past" boxset didn't have 4K editions. 9 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

The complete Blu-ray top 10 chart is below (new releases in bold, Blu-ray exclusives are denoted by *, UHD releases denoted by +):

                          "Sinners" did well with 71.03%.

For 4K, looking at the titles with separate 4K and Blu-ray/DVD releases, "Fallout: Season One" was also the best, with 70.04%. "Sinners" got 41%, while "The Amateur" got 18%.

The combined 4K UHD and Blu-ray market share increased slightly from 54.2% to 65.4%. Comparing this year's Prime Day sale event to last year's (which actually happened a week after the week of July 13), it looks like 4K was the winner, taking sales share away from Blu-ray and DVD. DVD's decline isn't surprising, given this year is DVD's 30 year (!) anniversary.

                            Top 20:

Prime Day week has ended, so things are back to a relative normal. Actually, less than normal, due to the lack of any major releases.

The 4K SteelBook release of Fury was actually the best-selling new release, but it was only 4th on the combined 4K and Blu-ray chart (4th on the 4K only chart).

The 4K SteelBook release of RoboCop 2 was the only other new release in the top 20, in 17th.

On the 4K only chart, we have the 4K release of Shane, which also came with a new Blu-ray edition featuring the 4K restoration scan.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: All three previously mentioned new releases had 4K editions. Every single title out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions!

There's nothing to report in terms of BD sales share since none of this week's top new releases had DVD editions.

And only "Shane" had separate 4K and Blu-ray editions, but its 4K sales share wasn't high enough for the 4K sales share top 20.

                              Top 20:

The various disc format market share has remained largely unchanged compared to the previous week, although there are a few more new releases this week to talk about.

The top-seller for the week was Final Destination Bloodlines, topping both the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart, as well as the 4K only chart.

The 4K SteelBook release of Small Soldiers was third (second on the 4K chart).

The 4K release of Cobra (coincidentally, one of the first movies I owned on VHS) was 4th on both charts.

Serenity gets a 4K SteelBook release and it was 6th (5th on the 4K chart).

Criterion does their stuff with Carnal Knowledge, on 4K and Blu-ray, and it was 10th (8th on the 4K chart).

Ash, the only new release without a 4K edition (only Blu-ray and DVD), was 11th.

The Stuff gets a limited edition 4K release, and was 15th (9th on the 4K chart).

And finally, on the combined top 20, You Can Count on Me also gets the Criterion treatment via a 4K and Blu-ray release, and it was 16th (12th on the 4K chart).

One more new release on the 4K only chart, The Last Voyage of the Demeter gets an Amazon exclusive 4K SteelBook release, and it was 18th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: Only "Ash" didn't have a 4K edition. Every single title out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions!
