EU to extend copyright to 95 years

The European Parliament’s legal affairs committee has voted to extend copyright for music recording from 50 to 95 years, Billboard reports.

A bit silly I think. If the artist can't make enough money after 50 years (if he/she is still alive), then I doubt an extra 45 years will help all that much.

Yeah, you notice how people will pirate music regardless of its age?

The whole "how old is Public Domain" thing is stupid. I think it's like 120 years in America or something insane like that? (For movies...)
