adobe released a beta of 10.1 flash that will use nvidia 8400 + gpu's and ion chips in netbooks to play HD flash videos. officially soon tobe released somewhere in early 2010.

if u have a ion netbook now or a pc / laptop with 8400 or greater card u can download the latest drivers from nvidia now that supports flash 10.1 beta.

As I mentioned in another thread, ATI cards are also supported. All 4xxx series and I assume all 5xxx series (57xx and 58xx for sure) will support GPU assist with 10.1 beta and the latest Catalyst drivers.

Having Ion GPU assist should now make these netbooks capable of YouTube 1080p video, which is very handy indeed.

bythe way recently saw a video of how microsoft is going towards IE 9 and that also has the GPU support for rendering whole pages. they got a video in detail if u like to see what it does now.

just like an upcoming IE, firefox will also be able to make use of gpu power and early beta versions already show decent speed increase
