Geoff Taylor, Chief Executive of the music industry body, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), says that ISPs should stop complaining about the high cost of tackling piracy and simply absorb those costs.
He also suggested that ISPs can fine those suspected of downloading pirated content to get back the cost of enforcement in a blog post on the BPI's official website. However, there's no mention of any contributions from the multi-billion dollar British music industry.
He also accused ISPs of "throwing out fanciful figures" in an effort to confuse consumers.
The CEO of ISP TalkTalk has called the government's anti-piracy legislation as an "Orwellian nightmare".
