Top 20:

Prime Day week is still going on, but with the Fourth of July holidays still lingering, not too many new releases this week and 4K UHD sales share took a bit of a dive.

The 45th anniversary 4K SteelBook release of The Evil Dead was actually the best-selling new release, and it was second on the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart, and top of the 4K only chart.

The Criterion 4K and Blu-ray release of The Elephant Man was third (second the 4K chart).

Doctor Who: Peter Davison — Complete Season Three came in at 5th - it was only released on Blu-ray.

The Drama was released on 4K and Blu-ray, and it was 10th (11th on the 4K chart).

The last new release on both top 20 charts was the Amazon exclusive 4K SteelBook release of 2012's Dark Shadows, in 19th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: Only "Doctor Who: Peter Davison — Complete Season Three" wasn't available on 4K. 9 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray Sales Share:

The BD sales share is the percentage of disc packages sold for that contained the titles's Blu-ray edition (including combos, and Ultra HD editions) for a particular title. So a BD sales share of 60% indicates that 60% of disc packages sold for this particular film contained the Blu-ray edition for this film, and so anything over 50% means that the Blu-ray version of the film was more popular than the DVD version.

None of this week's mentioned new releases had separate DVD editions, so there's nothing to report in terms of BD sales share.

In terms of 4K sales share, "The Elephant Man" topped the chart with 85.99%, while "The Drama" managed a respectable 60.92%.

Top 20:

Prime Day and Fourth of July mean this is not traditionally a week for new releases, but we did have quite a few in the top 20.

The Mortal Kombat Kollection boxset was released on 4K and Blu-ray, and it was second on the combined 4K and Blu-ray top 20, and top of the 4K only chart.

Crime 101 was 4th (it didn't get into the 4K top 20).

Another boxset, Jackie Chan’s Breakout Hits! on 4K, was 5th (3rd on the 4K chart).

They Will Kill You was 8th (12th on the 4K chart).

The 50th anniversary 4K release of King Kong was 11th (6th on the 4K chart).

The 4K SteelBook limited edition re-print of The Hunt for Red October was 12th, and another 4K SteelBook re-print from Paramount Super 8 was 16th (8th and 11th on the 4K chart).

That was it for new releases this week.

So a BD sales share of 60% indicates that 60% of disc packages sold for this particular film contained the Blu-ray edition for this film, and so anything over 50% means that the Blu-ray version of the film was more popular than the DVD version.

"They Will Kill You" got a BD sales share of 45%, just ahead of "Crime 101" with 43% - neither was high enough to get into the BD sales share top 10, though. These two were the only ones that had separate DVD releases.

For 4K sales share, "Mortal Kombat Kollection" had a high 93.74%, meaning almost nobody purchased the Blu-ray boxset. "They Will Kill You" got 33% and "Crime 101" got 13%.

It was the start of the Amazon Prime Day sales, and UHD in particular became a hot seller during this period. As a result, there weren't really any notable new releases that made the top 20; instead, we see the return of some popular titles from the recent past.

Top 20:

Both Blu-ray and especially UHD sales share rose compared to the last week, as a couple of big releases headlined this week, along with a ton of re-releases.

The week's top-seller was The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, easily outselling the second-placed Scream 7 (both occupied the same positions on the 4K only chart). The 2-movie Super Mario movie collection, available on all formats, was also in the top 10, in 11th (it wasn't in the 4K top 20).

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season was 4th (5th on the 4K chart).

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come was 5th (no 4K edition was made available), just ahead of the 4K re-release of Day of the Dead in 6th (3rd on the 4K chart).

Hamilton was released on 4K and standard Blu-ray, and it was 7th (8th on the 4K chart).

Eraser was released as a 30th anniversary 4K and 4K SteelBook release, and it was 8th (4th on the 4K chart).

The 4K SteelBook release of Perfect Blue was 10th (7th on the 4K chart).

Continuing outside of the top 10, the 4K re-release of Audition was 14th (10th on the 4K chart), joined by other 4K re-releases Them! (16th on the combined, 12th on the 4K chart), the 4K SteelBook release of Warcraft (18th, 13th), and the 4K SteelBook of To Kill a Mockingbird (20th, 14th).

Phew!

A couple of more new releases in the 4K-only chart. The 4K SteelBook of Cloud Atlas was 16th, and the Avatar Ultimate 3-Movie Collection was 20th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: Only "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" wasn't available on UHD. 9 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

"The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" had the best BD sales share out of the non-exclusive releases, with 67.57%.

"Scream 7" wasn't too far behind with 65.46%.

"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season" got 60.05%, with "Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" getting 59.08%.

On 4K, "Scream 7" had the best result with an UHD sales share of 65.46%. "Hamilton" was the next best with 44.40%. "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" got 40.91%, and "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season" got 28.91%.

Top 20:

Both Blu-ray and UHD sales share dropped back compared to last week, as the number and quality of new releases reduced.

The 4K release of The Burbs was the highest selling new release for the week, but it was only third on the combined Blu-ray and 4K charts, second on the 4K only chart. "Avatar: Fire and Ash" and "Hoppers" were still ahead.

The tasty looking Steven Spielberg: The Spotlight Collection 4K SteelBook boxset was 6th (3rd on the 4K chart).

Scream 4 was re-released on 4K and as a limited-edition 4K SteelBook, and it was 7th (5th on the 4K chart).

Notting Hill continues the list of 4K re-releases, this time it was sitting in 9th (7th on the 4K chart).

Then it was all the way down to 20th for the last new release on the combined chart, yep, you guessed it, another 4K re-release: Bowfinger (12th on the 4K chart).

And finally on the 4K only chart, the 4K SteelBook re-release of The Patriot was new, in 19th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: So pretty much everything was a 4K re-release this week. Every single title out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions!

Top 20:

UHD and Blu-ray sales share remained largely unchanged from last week, as 4K SteelBook re-releases dominated this week's new release list.

But before that, Hoppers was the week's top-selling new release, coming in at a strong second place on the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart - it was 4th on the 4K only chart.

The 4K Limited Edition SteelBook release of One Battle After Another was 3rd - it was top of the 4K only chart.

The Flintstones also got the 4K Limited Edition SteelBook treatment, and it was 4th (3rd on the 4K chart).

Escape From L.A. was released on SteelBook as part of its 30th anniversary, and it was 8th (6th on the 4K chart).

10 Cloverfield Lane was another one that got the 4K Limited Edition SteelBook treatment, and it was 9th (7th on the 4K chart).

Then it was all the way down to 14th for the next and final new release in the combined top 20, Doctor Who: Season Two (it wasn't made available on 4K).

Over on the 4K only chart, the 4K SteelBook release of Bubba Ho-Tep was 12th, while the Criterion 4K release of Charade was 15th.

The only new release with separate 4K and standard Blu-ray releases was "Hoppers", and it had a 4K sales share of 20.09%.

Top 20:

UHD sales share dropped, same with Blu-ray, as we take a break from last week's bumper release schedule.

The week's top seller was actually the 4K limited release of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - it was 3rd on both the combined Blu-ray/4K chart, and the 4K only chart.

The Amazon exclusive 4K release of the Rambo 5-Film Collection was 6th (5th on the 4K chart).

The Blu-ray only release Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie was 7th, while Billy Joel: The 100th — Live at Madison Square Garden: The Complete Concert, in 8th, was available on Blu-ray and DVD only.

It was then down to 15th for the next new release, the 4K collector's edition release of The Haunting (8th on the 4K chart).

The 4K release of The Great Outdoors was 17th (9th on the 4K chart).

Over on the 4K only chart, the 4K re-release of Ilsa: The Wicked Warden was 10th. The 4K re-release of Parenthood was 12th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: "Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie" and "Billy Joel: The 100th — Live at Madison Square Garden: The Complete Concert" were the only releases not available on 4K. 7 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Top 20:

Both 4K and Blu-ray market share increased at the expense of DVD, as a big release makes its way to discs this week, along with a multitude of other releases. In fact, every single title in the top 10 were new releases!

Avatar: Fire and Ash easily topped the sales charts, outselling the second-placed Speed Racer, which was released as a 4K SteelBook. Both titles were first and second on the 4K only chart as well. The Avatar 3-Movie Collection on all disc formats was 4th on the combined chart, but did not rank in the top 20 4K only chart.

Fallout: Season Two was third on both charts, while The Bride! was 5th (6th on the 4K only chart).

Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience was 6th - no 4K edition was made available for this release.

Scarlet on 4K and Blu-ray was 7th (8th on the 4K chart).

Then we have a couple of Walmart exclusive releases - Conan the Barbarian and The Warriors were both released as limited edition 4K SteelBooks, and they were 8th and 9th respectively (4th and 5th on the 4K only chart).

Reminders of Him was 10th - it wasn't available on 4K either.

The Da Vinci Code is re-released as a limited edition 4K SteelBook, and it was 12th (7th on the 4K chart).

Looney Tunes Cartoons: The Complete Series from Warner Archives was 15th - it was available on Blu-ray only.

And finally, Body Heat gets the Criterion treatment on 4K and Blu-ray, and it was 16th (12th on the 4K chart).

There was one more new release on the 4K only chart. Alligator on 4K SteelBook was 13th.

"Fallout: Season Two" managed 53.24%, while "Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience" got 50.60%.

Top 20:

Blu-ray market share dropped, UHD's rose sharply in a week mostly dominated by 4K re-releases.

The top-selling new release was also the week's overall top-seller, the 4K SteelBook release of Fight Club - it was top of both the combined 4K and Blu-ray chart as well as the 4K only chart.

The 4K release of Moneyball was the next new entry in the top 10, in 5th place (second on the 4K only chart).

The 4K release of Bridesmaids was 10th (4th on the 4K chart), and that was it for new releases in the top 20.

On the 4K only chart, there was one more release, the 4K release of 10 to Midnight in 17th.

This week's 4K Ultra HD report: All the new releases were 4K only releases. 6 titles out of this week's top 10 had UHD editions.

Top 20:

Blu-ray market share rose slightly, and UHD's dropped slightly.

The week's top-seller was It: Welcome to Derry - The Complete First Season - it outsold the other new releases.

A bit further behind was GOAT - it was second on the combined Blu-ray/4K chart, but only 5th on the 4K only chart.

I Can Only Imagine 2 was third (no 4K version was made available), while Wuthering Heights was 4th on both charts.

Dracula was 5th (no 4K version).

The 4K release of the 1951 animated version of Alice in Wonderland was 6th (second on the 4K chart).

The 4K SteelBook release of Top Gun was 8th (3rd on the 4K chart).

And finally, Solo Mio was 15th (no 4K version).

On the 4K only chart, there were a couple of more new releases. The 4K SteelBook release of It Came From Outer Space (and yes, it has a Blu-ray 3D disc in it - a rarity these days) was 6th, and The Criterion Collection 4K and Blu-ray editions of Stray Dog was 13th.

Top 20:

Both Blu-ray and UHD sales shares dropped as new releases were light on the ground.

The Arrow 4K and Blu-ray limited edition release of Innerspace was the best-selling of the new releases - it was second on the combined Blu-ray and 4K chart, and top of the 4K only chart.

The 4K limited edition release of Soldier was third (second on the 4K chart). And that was it for new releases in the combined Blu-ray and 4K top 20. Over on the 4K only chart, we have a couple of more new releases.

The 4K restoration of Throw Momma From the Train on 4K and Blu-ray was 9th. The 4K release of Stardust was 12th, and the 4K release of Tiger on the Beat I & II was 15th.

Top 20:

UHD sales share dropped while Blu-ray sales share rose. We did have several new releases that would explain this.

The best-selling of these new releases was 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple - it was top of both the combined and 4K only sales charts.

In second place was Shelter, available on Blu-ray and DVD only.

Not too far behind was The Strangers: Chapter 3, which was available on Blu-ray only.

Send Help, released on 4K and DVD (no Blu-ray only edition), was 4th (second on the 4K only chart).

Primate was 5th (no 4K edition was released).

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die was 6th (4th on the 4K chart).

Sleepers, on 4K SteelBook, was 7th (3rd on the 4K chart).

Point Blank was released as Criterion 4K and Blu-ray releases, and it was 9th (5th on the 4K chart).

And finally in the top 20, Die My Love (released on 4K and DVD) was 15th (7th on the 4K chart).

UHD sales share rose as sales helped titles, including older titles, get back into the top 20.

There were still a few new releases, like the Criterion 4K and Blu-ray editions of Monty Python’s Life of Brian, in 4th place - it was 4th on the 4K only chart as well.

Then it was all the way down in 15th for the next new release, the 4K release of The Phantom (it was 13th on the 4K only chart).

That was it for new releases, though.

A relatively subdued week in terms of new releases, so while the top 2 were all new, they weren't exactly box office hits.

Over the Garden Wall: The Complete Series was released on Blu-ray only and was the top seller for the week. Mercy was second, and top of the 4K only chart.

Then it was all the way down to 12th for the next new release, the 4K SteelBook release of The Deer Hunter (it was second on the 4K chart).

Carlito’s Way was also available as a 4K SteelBook - it was 14th (5th on the 4K chart).

And finally, V/H/S/Halloween was 15th (no 4K edition was released).
