Speaking of off-topic, i was wondering, is it worth getting a dvd player that has progressive scan for the extra money, and what advantage is progressive scan for the dvd?
If your TV supports progressive scan (which means it's probably a very good and/or large set), then you'll see improvement in quality with NTSC titles (PAL progressive is rare, at the moment).
There are many different types of progressive scan - explaining why some progressive scan DVDs cost $1000+ while others are less than $200.

Ok thanks for that article, I read it over (took 10mins) and i decided to go ahead and buy a progressive scan, just so that it has the "newest" technology
