Reformatting because of viruses and adware

Well sorry to say it guys but I will be forced to re-format my computer tomorrow.. There was a virus that got past my firewall and virus protection and now I have a system volume virus so I will be wiping the slate clean tomorrow. Fortunatly I have all of my DivX files on another HD which is totally clean and is check for any type of error every 12 hours.. 200gigs. Can't let that go to hel| in a handbasket. Well everyone wish me luck for tomorrow. Hope everything goes ok..

I like to use Norton antivirus 2003 pro because it blocks ever virus that has come through anywhere.plus, it scans your HDD for anything unusual and tells you.

Now that sucks. Well, it simply means that you will have to be more diligent in updating your virus definitions and doing regular virusscans on your computer.

Just a tip: whenever i have to reformat one of my hard drives, i usually back up all the important crap on cd-rw's so i can easily put them back on the fresh HD and erase the disc after.

One step ahead of ya gd_nimrod I had 3 CD-r's full of stuff I zipped and stuff like that. I am happy to announce that the reformatting process went ok and no problems happened during it. And about the virus Def's I updated them every day but things still kept happening I have a fire wall up now mcafee is up and going and a whole bunch of other stuff. I also got Office XP Small Business installed and up and running and yeah
