I liked Edonkey but ever since I got an external modem with a built in fire-wall that you can't disable I never could get a high ID

I've never had the LowID problem but if you post in the ShareReactor forum in the Emule section you should get some responses on how to get rid of it, even with your firewall.

              eDonkey Network:

Many clients available ex.eMule, *EXCELLENT P2P COMMUNITY*

Kazaa Lite www.kazaalite.com paired with diet kazaa (to auto resume and auto-find more sources, no adware-spyware either)

              WinMX www.winmx.com, large mp3 p2p network

The latest version of Kazaa works from behind firewalls, eDonkey requires you to have tcp ports 4661-4662 TCP and udp 4665 being forwarded, not sure about WinMX

Kazaa lite already offers what Diet Kazaa has. There is no need for it

Diet Kazaa will repetitavly find "More Sources" for you, Kazaa or Kazaa Lite will not do this automaticly and every other addon software out there has spyware or adware in iit.

I have Kazaa Lite 2.0 and it will find more sources repetivly (sorry about the mis-spelling) It comes with a couple programs and none of them have spy/ad ware in them

i could never get a good speed with eDonkey, yet alone even connect sometimes. So i think mIRC is very good for new files on the net, whereas eDonkey and KazzaLite is good for general purposes.

Most of the time I would not think your ISP threatening to disconnect you would be a good thing
