It was a thread about downloading Matrix Reloaded, which I have deleted already.

              It's no big deal, scdlcgs.

I have seen Matrix Reloaded at the cinema, and trust me you do not want to get an illegal copy of that. It was made to be seen on the big screen for maximum enjoyment.

i totally agree there, matrix is a movie intended for cinema watching, even home cinema 5.1 dvd sets its not the same...

Believe it or not, but I actually watched the original Matrix on my computer using PowerDVD 2.5 - how pathetic is that

I do think that if you've got a good front projection system setup, or a 60" HD rear projection TV with DVI input, coupled that with high resolution progressive DVI output from your computer, I think it would come pretty close to the cinema, or even surpass it (most cinemas need to do regular convergence on their projectors, because the picture is just horrible - my local cinema doesn't even have surround sound!!).

it aint pathetic, it's what a lot of ppl did

and admin, you have to keep in mind, that there are cinemas and Cinemas

in my country i.e., there are usual cinemas, where watching matrix is like watching a peep show and making love to your hand
and there are cinemas like IMAX or SilverScreen (big multiplexes) where watching a movie is like making love to the woman of your dreams 24/7 )))

Actually, just remembered that I actually had a 12 metre long AV cable connecting my computer's TV output to my TV, and that's how I watched The Matrix, with stereo sound and picture totally degraded over the 12 metre long (home made) cable. I actually wondered whether it was the movie or my setup that was causing the green tint in the picture

Now is that more or less pathetic?

                            Probably

(of course I was watching the movie on DVD, so by that time, it was out of the cinemas already)

i dunno how about u, but here we have some cinemas which show the older movies, i.e. matrix after it was on dvd, coz they go back to the "megahits of the yesterday" from time to time. surely u got some too...
