Xbox or Playstation 2?

I have been thinking about it and I can't decide myself... please choose and if you put your posts saying why, i'd really aprreciate it...

Both suck.

NES.

go with PS2/PSX(when it comes out).

ITS:

- cheaper
- got more games
- got better games
- is smaller
- more people have it, so you can swap games, and be assured its gonna be around for a long time (3yrs already or something) not like GCube, which is not being sold in some UK retailers.
- NOT MICROSOFT
- not a lethal weapon that you can get arrested for

I have both the PS2 and the XBox where I live. I don't really use these things much so I won't have much comment to give here.

The XBox has undoubtedly the better graphics and sounds. The PS2, on the other hand, has a larger varieties (or types) of games. However, I noticed that the games on XBox look too much like PC games (of course, since XBox specs are practically PC-derived) and you can play such games on a suitably powerful PC.

Get an atari. Enjoy such high action games as Pac Man, /<\insert game title here\>/, and did I mention Pac Man?

Of course, when you're tired of your Atari (which is unlikely) you can move on to the second generation console recommended by t3ch, the NES.

Its the quality of games at a good price that counts, and the security that your console is to live on, NOT how powerful it is. Microsoft thought they could take the market share of the gaming world, with their power and money just because their were becoming jealous of Sony ruling the the living room. But they knew nothing about the console gaming world and thought they could just take over Sony and Ninty by releasing a powerful console that was dropped to half its price just 6months after launch. Now that really tells you something about how Microsoft failed.

I dont like microsoft, but have to use thier programs. MSN Messenger is so annoying! you cannot turn it off, once it is on, as a message appears saying it is needed to run IE/Outlook Express.

So, have you decided to take PS2 or xbox yet?? the good news about xbox is that you can programmed it yourself, change the hard disk inside with 80Gb ones, you can save the games inside hard disk and not affraid of no space. It also have ethernet card inside, easier to play online. Use linux for its operating system. Truly like a computer in some sense. The graphics also much better than PS2. Bad news is the game have to be real, no fake cd has worked before. You can borrow the real game and copy them.

However, PS2 had it's own (+) rating. You don't have to bought the authentic games to play it. Simply by finding some cheap "fake" games from your friend. Last time i checked, PS2 modified can play all the fake games. The chip is easily modified, the range of the games is high, from fighting, RPG, sports, even the party games as well. Good controller, small, unlike xbox, HUGE! and heavy too...
The negative side is that you have to buy extension if you wanna play online and no hard disk inside. so.. prepare a lot of memory card if you are a MANIAC gamer.
