Man, i must say im not surprised youre doing this post...in Poland, EVERYONE, EVERYONE has a cell phone.
For still a not completely developed country (compared to N.A) its crazy how everyone there on the street in talking with their cell.
Hell i even went on a farm 200km from the main city, and of course, people had cells there too. I might even say they have more cell phones there than here in montreal, despite their average salary is 1/3 of ours.
because we have a monopoly (TP - Telekomunikacja Polska) on normal phones (yea, there are a couple of companies there, but they control only a few percent of the market, the rest goes to TP),. in the cell-phone market however, there are 3 big companies, which compete for most clients, that makes the cell-phone prices quite competitive.
I never had a Cell Phone before.
I don't plan on it either.
Somthing about brain Cancer..
Maybe if the Rates were the same as hard wired Telephone or less..
The rates I know of are just stupid crazy, so I never really looked into it further.
Also, Can a person hook up a dialup modem to a Cell phone for Faxing and Dialup internet? (Not that stupid Internet phone crap)
Government throws more money at a problem, so it looks like they are making a difference.
The rates are very good on mobile phones now. I pay £35 a month and get 200 text messages and 600 Anytime any network minutes. That works out a lot cheaper than BT normal phone lines. Also, on the point of brain cancer - tehre is no proven evidence that it does or doesnt damage the brain or lead to an increase in cancer - it is merely speculation at the min.

TRUE I noticed that, the only thing on advertisements when it comes to the internet (adsl) or phone service thats all i saw (TP). They seem to be basterds though...
