yeah - the first one was funny enough, but the sequels were just ****. I hate when people try to rip off the public by doing loads of sequels of a film that really doesnt deserve a sequel
Well...I think M&C was up there...even if it was cluttered for historical correctness. References to Darwin's voyage 4 years earlier, admiration of Nelson 10 years before Trafalgar, and battling an American-made French frigate ( designed with the angled eliptical side braces to allow even weight distribution allowing twice as many guns, greater speed and "iron" sides...a technological secret innovation which the Americans wouldn't have sold) were bit much....but all-in-all an exciting adventure that puts you in the center of the action.
My bad...after cursery research...Trafalgar was 1805 and Nelson would have been the conversation of the day. Darwin wrote his initial findings up on his voyage in 1801...but Voyage of the Beagle wasn't published until 1859...and Origin of the Species in the 1870's. He must have been very young on the voyage...and VERY old by the time his books hit the newsstand.
lol - glad that Matrix trilogy is over now, the ending was pretty poor though. Sounded nearly like we would see Neo again and maybe a 4th?? I sure hope not. I hate it when people really rip the piss out of films with sequel after sequel.
