he probably did as he's got his own business, knows everything about computers (10-15 languages), so i doubt it he would fail...unless he was studying physics, cos that is really hard.
hehe well you wont get the cable since its OEM and since its from ebay - dont expect good quality since the drive maybe used or damaged in some way (even if it says its new...)
there is no specific name for the cable - just ask for ATA 100 IDE cable
as for the exams - I done my resit for once subject - I just hope I pass
Imagine a hard drive that was optically connectable to a controller card. You could have a thruput that is unimaginable.
Ya know it doesn't really matter anyhow. You know why? You can read from a hard drive as fast as it can get data off the surface of the platter. Ever try formatting a 40Megabyte hard drive and compare the time to format a 250Gigabyte hard drive? (Results = 5 minutes for the 40mb, 5 hours for the 250gb.) Ever try copying a 4Gb DVD image to another hard drive using ATA66 or ATA133 settings? (Results = SAME time)
Technology has evolved greatly, but somthing is missing what they tell you in terms of speed.
Government throws more money at a problem, so it looks like they are making a difference.
