5- Not me yet. They monitor everyone's Speed, Pull 10 abusers out of the hat of all thier violators and send hate mail to them. People who receive 3 hate mails get suspended for a month. Fourth Hate mail in 365 days and they get Expelled for good. Lots of subscribers, chances of that happening to me are slim to none. Unlike Cable subscribers who's automation sends EVERY VIOLATOR warning letters or charges to your bill for exceeding them.

6- No. Everyone should be able to up/download at least 20 GB if not more. High speed internet means you can exceed your monthly cap in Hours. How does that make sense?

7- between 1 to 3 months a year in connection trouble and network incompatibilities/DNS issues and E-mail server troubles.

8- Definately not. They would rather blame a problem on you then admit they have incompetent staff, obsolete equipment or retarded policies (Two months later they publicly post a problem with thier server which you have been whining about for the last 60 days). Problems majically dissapear when you are calling customer service, yet they say that they didn't do anything (After a bunch of humms and ahh's). It takes them 15 to 90 days to get you hooked up as thier departments don't communicate properly with each other, where thier Techy's are too lazy to take any effort assessing connection issues directly with the customer. Also thier disclaimer can change at any time without your expressed permission. Ever read your licence agreements?

9- Yes, as the other ones charge more money and have a slower unacceptable uplink. Your connection is always as fast as your slowest link. Who cares is you have 100 Megabit, I can only send at 28.8K. Kinda makes online gaming a hassle when everyone the same package as you do. Max recieve and send = 28.8K
And no- if all the guy wanted was a reliable connection to the network and was only gonna do web browsing and E-mail, Shaw or videotron would be just fine.

My ISP is still having troubles providing me trouble free internet. Seems I am not the only one either.

I recently talked to a few people over DC++ who have thier own internet problems, but thier ISP problems are related to Caps, hate mail and charges for exceeding caps.

I hear that one of the most stupid carriers being Optimum Online.

they are going to search through their connections for people with servers. in the optimum online contract it says you cannot make a server. so anyone with an ftp, kazaa, or any other program that has an upstream could have their service shut down at any time.

You guys ISP Sucks with a capital S U C K S. I suppose mine has rules also, but I haven't a clue what they are and don't care. I hear from them twice a month. When the bill arrives in the mail and a e-mail begging me to vist their web site and make it my home page. If they make me unhappy; they are fired and I go with the next guy. They all charge about the same $40-50 dollars a month. This is for cable or dsl. Don't like dial up. Since I installed this 4 years ago they have changed owners 3 times. The last month I lost My conection twice for about 5 minutes and 20 minutes. I don't know if there is a cap. If so, I haven't hit it and my wife thinks I'm trying to download the entire internet. Maybe I am. Other people I talk to locally complain about their service, but I don't seem to have any problems. They are presently owned by Comcast. They have owned the service for about 3 months. I have 2 other choices if the Pi@# me off.
