Can't say dislike, but some spammers can be irritating, and it appears as if some ppl post a nonsense reply to a post just to get their post count up. IMO this reply can be confusing to the original poster who is trying to get some honest help to a problem.
Now, Now, there is a plural number of posters whom aren't liked, instead of the singular poster mentioned by the threadstarter. This thread smacks of a "kangaroo court". Their un-solicited "thank you's" and "problem(s) solved" is both evidence and evident.

Yeah, I haven't been around here that long, and I really don't understand too much yet, but sometimes I'll read a reply to a post, and I'll find it has no connection to what the person in need is looking for...
However, I do find this website very helpful, and there is always someone who can help with a problem.
SDK_Tech,
Maybe you didn't get the big response because flaming and cliques aren't really an issue here. This place is mainly tecchies who go here for the latest info or to solve a problem. Other forums like DVDRHELP.COM have a more egotistical, adolescent theme and flaming is quite common there. There's a lot of good stuff there too, but you have to put up with the mutants
